It's so disturbing to see so many wars happening around the world nowadays. In the past, wars were just a way of life. That was because back then there were no laws nor were there any boundaries. As we move into the 21st century, one would assume that with the dawning of a new era, people would now become more evolved in their way of thinking, in comparison to their ancestors. And yet they are doing exactly the same thing now, the only difference is the high-tech weaponry used, instead of swords, axes and cannons. The justification for war has not changed either...people are still fighting in the name of religion. Have we not learned from history books that all this killing and destruction is futile? That at the end of the day, we're all human beings, regardless of our faiths and beliefs, or lack of them. I'm just so sick of reading about the countless diabolical things that humans do to each other. We are the only species in the world that are capable of killing one another. Even a starving leopard knows better than to violate another leopard's territory to hunt for prey.
That very fact seriously disturbs me.
